INTRODUCTION
 Classroom Champions (the “Company”) and our affiliates, subsidiaries, and partners (together with Company, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respect the privacy of our student users (the “Students”), our users who are either parents of Students or who are the legal guardians of Students (the “Parents”), and our educator users (the “Educators”, and together with Students and Parents, the “Users”, “you”, or “your”) and are committed to protecting it by complying with this Privacy Policy (this “Policy”). This Policy describes: 
  • how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information;
  • the types of information we may collect from you, or that you may provide when you visit the website at cgychamps.ca (the “Website”); and
  • our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
We will only use your personal information in accordance with this Policy unless otherwise required by applicable law. We take steps to ensure that the personal information that we collect about you is adequate, relevant, not excessive, and used for limited purposes. The Website is only available to Students with consent from their Parent. To provide consent for a Student to access the Website, their Parent must create an account with the Parent’s name and email address and agree to this Policy on behalf of the Student. In this Policy, “personal information” is defined as any information about an identifiable individual, which includes information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate an individual. This Policy applies to information we collect, use, or disclose about you: 
  • on the Website;
  • in email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the Website; and
  • when you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services if those applications or advertising include links to this Policy.
The Website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins, services, social networks, or applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow the third party to collect or share data about you. If you follow a link to a third-party website or engage a third-party plugin, please note that these third parties have their own privacy policies, and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. We do not control these third-party websites, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit. This Policy does not apply to information that: 
  • we collect offline or through any other means, including on any other Company or third-party website (including our affiliates and subsidiaries); or
  •  you provide to or is collected by any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries), through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from the Website. 
Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices for collecting, processing, storing, and sharing your information. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use the Website. By accessing or using the Website, you indicate that you, on your behalf and/or on your child’s behalf (if applicable), understand, accept, and consent to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy may change from time to time, and the date that this Policy is last modified is indicated at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Website after we make changes indicates that you accept and consent to those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU
We collect and use several types of information from and about you, including: 
  •  Personal information that we can reasonably use to directly or indirectly identify you, which includes, 
    •  for Students and Parents: name, email address, Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect the Student’s computer to the Internet, username, grade level, school name and address, virtual points earned through participation in Website activities and any other identifier we may use to contact the Students and/or the Parents; and 
    •  for Educators: name, email address, telephone number, Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect the Student’s computer to the Internet, username, grade level(s) taught, school name and address, Educator’s role, virtual points earned through participation in Website activities and any other identifier we may use to contact the Educators. 
We provide an opportunity for any User to unsubscribe from our mailing list or opt-out of contact for marketing purposes on an ongoing basis by accessing the Website, using the unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of our emails, or contacting us at [email protected]
  •  Non-personal information that does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity or directly relate to you as an identifiable individual, which statistical or aggregated data that does not directly identify a specific person, but we may derive non-personal statistical or aggregated data from personal information. For example, we may aggregate personal information to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Website feature. 
  •  Technical information, including your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access the Website, and usage details. Technical information is automatically transmitted by your device or system and logged by the Website. 
  •  Details about your Website interactions, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URLs), clickstream to, through, and from the Website (including date and time), pages you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page, or any phone number used to call our customer service number. 
HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU We use different methods to collect your information, including through: 
  •  Direct interactions with you when you provide it to us, for example, by creating an account, filling in forms, interacting with the Website, or corresponding with us by phone, email, or otherwise; 
  •  User contributions. You may also provide information for us to publish or display (hereinafter, “posted”) on public Website areas or transmit to other Website users or third parties (collectively, “User Contributions”); 
  •  Automated technologies or interactions, as you navigate through the Website. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies; and 
  •  Third parties or publicly available sources, for example, our business partners, with your consent. 

User Contributions Note that your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. Although we limit access to certain pages by requiring account login, please be aware that no security measures are perfect. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Website with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that unauthorized persons will not view your User Contributions. 

Cookies and Other Automatic Data Collection Technologies As you navigate through and interact with the Website, we may use cookies or other automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including: 
  •  Details of your visits to the Website, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Website. 
  •  Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type. 
We may also use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioural tracking). It helps us to improve the Website and to deliver a better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to:

  •  store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize the Website according to your individual interests; and

  •  Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. Third Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies Some content or applications on the Website, including advertisements, are served by third-parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers. These third parties may use cookies, alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies, to collect information about you when you use the Website. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioural) advertising or other targeted content. You can opt-out of several third-party ad servers' and networks' cookies simultaneously by using the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada Opt-Out Tool described above. Opting out of a network does not mean you will no longer receive online advertising. It does mean that the network from which you opted out will no longer deliver ads tailored to your web preferences and usage patterns. We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they are used. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information: 
  • to present the Website and provide its contents and activities to you;

  • to fulfill the purposes for which you provided the information or that were described when it was collected, or any other purpose for which you provide it;
  • to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts with you, including for billing and collection or to comply with legal requirements;
  • to notify you about changes to the Website or any products or services we offer or provide though it;
  • to improve the Website, products or services, marketing, or customer relationships and experiences;
  • to allow you to participate in interactive features, social media, or similar features on the Website;

  • to measure and report on the effectiveness of User participation in Website, team-based and community activities;

DISCLOSURE AND TRANSFER OF YOUR INFORMATION
We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. We may disclose personal information that we collect or that you provide as described in this Policy: 
  • To Sports Team Partners. We may disclose your personal information to the sports team(s) hosting the team page that you are visiting, which require such information to establish and maintain a relationship with you. We contractually require the sports teams to keep personal information confidential and to use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them or in accordance with this Policy. Subject to this Policy, our sports team partners may contact you using the personal information that we disclose to them to provide relevant advertisements and offers to you, if you have opted in to receive such communications.
  • To Other Users. As part of some engagement features and functionalities, certain personal information from your account may be shared and viewed by other users of the Website. For example, your username may be shared as part of a leaderboard or as part of your post on a forum. Please be careful and ensure that the personal information you include on your account is material that you are comfortable with being publicly viewable, since neither you nor we can control what others do with your personal information once you share it as part of access to or use of the Website.
  • To Affiliates, Employees, and Service Providers. We may disclose your personal information to our affiliates and our respective employees, contractors, consultants, service providers, and other parties who require such information to assist us with managing our relationship with you, including third parties that provide services to us or on our behalf. For example, we use third-party service providers to assist us with analytics and search engine improvement and optimization.     • for any additional purposes for which we have obtained your consent to disclose your personal information.
Since we may share your personal information with third parties, as described in this Policy, your personal information may be collected, used, processed, stored, or disclosed outside of your jurisdiction of residence, including in Canada and the United States. As such, your personal information may potentially be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities of another jurisdiction where local laws provide for a different level of protection for personal information. In certain circumstances, courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, or security agencies in those other countries may be entitled to access your personal information. CHOICES ABOUT HOW WE USE AND DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information: 
  • Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Website may not be accessible or may not function properly.
  • Promotional Offers from Us and Our Partners. If you have opted in to receive certain emails from us but no longer wish to have your contact information used by the Company to promote our own or our partners’ products or services, you can opt-out by logging into your account on the Website and adjusting your user preferences by unchecking the relevant boxes or by sending us an email stating your request to [email protected]. If we or our partners have sent you a promotional email, you may unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe link included in the email.

DATA SECURITY The security of your personal information is very important to us. We use physical, electronic, and administrative measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the Website like message boards, which any Website visitor can view. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Under some circumstances, we may anonymize your personal information so that it can no longer be associated with you. We reserve the right to use such anonymous and de-identified data for any legitimate business purpose without further notice to you or your consent. 

STUDENT USERS For Students under the age of majority in their respective jurisdictions, the Website is only available with consent from their Parent, which shall be provided by the Parent’s creation of an account for the Student. No one under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence may access or provide any information on the Website without consent from their Parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority without parental consent. If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from anyone under the age of majority without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. By law, you have the right to request access to and to correct the personal information that we hold about you. You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Website and visiting your account profile page. If you want to review, verify, correct, or withdraw consent to the use of your personal information you may also send us an email at [email protected] to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
